Our Story
The Nail Lounge was inspired and conceived by Georgette P. Sands who believes in the philosophy that it is never too late to follow your dreams and to dream big, real big! She remembers from a very young age, always being passionate about the beauty and hair industry. Georgette loved doing hair as a child and remembers always styling her and her sister’s hair for primary school and high school. She loved the mirror and always wanted to make sure every strand was intact and that her lips were always glossy. She reminisces of high school days and always offering to braid or style her friends hair before the start of school. She also enjoys styling family and friends for an event – be it coordinating clothing, styling hair or simple advice on what to wear.
While employed at an IT service company for over 15 years and managing and operating a mobile nail services company (Nail Taxi Bahamas) for 3 years, she wanted more.

No Piped Whirlpool Pedicure Bowls
We have done tons of research and made a conscious decision to not use whirlpool jet pipes for our pedicures. Since there’s really no way to thoroughly clean the inside of the whirlpool jet pipes where bacteria may reside, we have ceramic vessel –style spa pedicure bowls without jet pipes. The non-porous sealed surface prevents bacteria from penetrating so your sink is sanitary. It is easy to clean and low maintenance. This means less risk of cross contamination between clients. Its smooth touchable surface and flat bottom makes it extremely comfortable for the feet.

It is the perfect location to get everyone together. Fabulous manicures and pedicures are hotter than ever. Whether it is your birthday, bridal shower, girl’s night out, bachelorette party, guy’s night out, cooperate events, graduation, holiday parties, customer appreciation – the list is endless.
For Your Safety
Please wash your hands before the beginning of your service and we will do the same. You can always expect a clean station and fresh towel at the beginning of your service. All metal implements (cuticle nippers, toe nail trimmers, cuticle pusher, etc.) will be cleaned with soap and water and placed in an EPA registered disinfection solutions after your appointment. For your safety and your protection, we take pride in sanitising our implements and workstations using a medical grade liquid disinfectant and dry-heat steriliser.
Appointment & Late Policies
APPOINTMENT POLICY: As a courtesy we make every effort to notify you of your appointment date and time. If your plans have changed, please notify us so that we can fill the spot. If we do not hear from you 12 hrs prior to your service, your appointment will be forfeited and we will gladly reschedule for a more convenient time.
LATE POLICY: We get it. Life happens! If you are expecting to be late by 15 min or more, please contact us. In this unfortunate situation we cannot guarantee that your full service will be performed that day. If you are running late by 30 minutes or more this may require rescheduling your appointment for another day.
